From Oceans to Ownership: Why I’m Building Marine Drive for Mariners

There was a time when life was simple.
A cadet.
A dream.
And an ocean that felt bigger than everything else.
Like many of you, I spent my time at sea (less than many DMETians though!) — learning discipline the hard way, understanding responsibility early, and realising that life doesn’t always give second chances.
The sea teaches you something very few environments can:
Clarity.
Clarity about who you are.Clarity about what truly matters.
And somewhere along that journey, a question stayed with me…
“After all this… where do we belong?”
The Problem I Saw in Our Community
Over the years, through DMET Club, MarineX, and countless conversations with fellow mariners across the world, I noticed a pattern.
We earn well.
We travel the world.
We build global exposure.
But when it comes to coming back…
Most of us don’t have:
A community that understands us
A place designed for our lifestyle
A long-term base we truly connect with
We invest in cities.
But we don’t feel rooted in them.
And that’s where this idea was born.
Why Marine Drive @ Yugen Golf City Exists
Marine Drive is not just a project for me.
It is personal.
At Yugen Infra, when we started shaping our vision in Goa, I knew one thing very clearly:
