We are thrilled to share the remarkable success of DMECA’s Technical Seminar 2024, held in collaboration with Indian Register of Shipping. This groundbreaking event attracted over 90 leaders from the maritime industry, all eager to gain insights from experts on the digitalization and application of AI for enhancing ship efficiency and performance.
The enthusiasm and engagement of the participants were truly inspiring. Industry leaders shared their knowledge and experiences, making the seminar an invaluable learning opportunity for everyone involved. This event underscored the urgent need for such initiatives in the maritime sector, and we commend DMECA and Indian Register of Shipping for providing a platform to learn from the best minds in the industry.

The technical seminar on 'Digitalisation and use of Artificial Intelligence in efficiency improvement of Ships'. The gathering was a resounding success with 90+ attendees from industry leading companies and also 5 cadets from DMET.
The event started at 9 30 and was concluded at 2 with a lunch after the conclusion of the seminar. There were a total of 6 presentations from-
Mr. Arun Sharma (IRS) on Artificial Intelligence and it's significance in the maritime industry of the future.
Mr. Pankaj Mishra (Wartsila) on 'informed decision making in maritime industry through digital modeling'
Mr. Rabindra Sah (IRS) on Automation of machinery using unstructured data and modifying the service life of automation devices using AI.
IRS on The prospect of 3D modelling and simulation to redefine condition based maintainence.
Uday Purohit (Neptunus) on Reducing shaft vibration of Diesel Engines by monitoring the frequency generated by measuring the difference in torsion
Henry DSA on Competence of the crew and officers by preparing courses for them
The technical seminar was concluded by a warm closing remark by Mr. Mudit Mehrotra on DMECA and DMET Club (Video shared above)
